Rare Patek Philippe Ref.600J "RATTERMANN" 3-Tone Art Deco Dial Pocket Watch
Ref. 600 was launched in 1933. It is one of most popular pocket watches produced by the company.
Its shape is still up-to-date and it is not a hazard that when launched it was named “Modern”, in opposition to the classical “bassine” or to the “murat” shapes usual for that period. It is also called “white tie” or “smoking” watch.
It was equipped with different 16 or 17’’’ calibres, changing the watch thickness. It also exists with sweep second or with different decoration on the dial or on the case back.
The present watch is the only one known with such a double signature, further this dial design with Art Deco Roman markers.
An Extract of Archives dated 2020 confirms that the watch was made in 1940 and sold in 1941 with raised gold markers.
