Rare Vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref.2551R with Ponti Gennari bracelet. 1957.
The Calatrava Reference 2551R presents an enamel dial with applied rose gold arrow and Arabic twelfth hour markers, subsidiary seconds at six and perle minute ring. Time is marked by generously-sized rose gold Dauphine hands. PP mark on the dial is sharp, like the case, lugs and case band, absolutely unpolished, pristine condition. The Calatrava Reference 2551 is set in motion by the self-winding Calibre 12-600 AT, nestled in a 36mm rose gold, screwed-down case. The disco volante style case creating a stepped dial makes the crown appear to be recessed, which is another design feature of this piece that is worth noting.
