Vintage Omega Seamaster Ref. 176.007 Chronograph with 24-Hour Sub-Dial from the 1970s.
A colourful presentation with blue dial, black hour markers with steel frames, date at three o’clock and sub-dials for 24-hour and seconds. Silvered Baton hands with lume denotes the time, with peripheral Tachymeter completing the package. 24-hour sub-dial at nine denote day and night time by coloured chapter; splitting by light blue and light gray. An Omega self-winding, calibre 1040 sits within the water-sealed, cushion-shaped 40mm steel case. The calibre 1040 was Omega’s first Automatic Chronograph movement. This vintage piece is significant in presenting the transition of design found among Omega’s steel sports watches, which also influenced the design of Speedmasters in the 1970s.
