Vintage Gubelin Ipso Matic Triple Calendar Moonphase in Yellow Gold Automatic Watch. 1950s.
This rare vintage piece from Gubelin fronts a matt-silvered dial with gold faceted baton markers at three, six and nine, applied gold roman numeral at twelve, black sticks for the other indices and minute by Perlé ring on the outer rim. Date is denoted by an in-line Day-Month Aperture with blue dates forming the inner ring on the dial. Moonphase fan aperture sits at six. A unique facted Gubelin logo (hourglass) sits between the twelve o’clock marker and the Day-Month Aperture. The Hourglass symbol appears only on timepieces of Gubelin. The Automatic Calibre 11 1/2 sits in a 37mm yellow gold case with even patina. Original unpolished and modified vintage timepiece from the 1950s.
