Rare Patek Philippe Ref.19 211 Sector Dial “Tachometer & Pulsometer” Pocket Watch
The earliest chronographs were made around 1860. 250 watches were identified from the market or diverse publications on a total of around 1400-1500 chronograph movements made.
Today one can still order especially this complication, the delivery time will be around two years, the price over SF 35’000.
The dial is especially rare as it bears both tachometer and pulsometer, furthermore, the lay-out is particularly elaborated and detailed, showing five scales, from the outside to the center: speed, medical, fifth of the seconds and seconds, minutes and hours; all inscriptions hand made by an engraver artist.
Only half a dozen of these watches were identified so far, each one with slightly different dial details. An Extract of Archives dated 2019 confirms that the watch was made in 1924 and sold in 1937 with a silver dial described exactly with pulsometer and tachometer scales together.
